2010 Moorpark Packers Head Coaches
Senior Division
Tim Hanshaw: Coach Hanshaw was a member of the San Francisco 49ers for 4 seasons from 1995 to 1998 where he started as an offensive guard and tackle. He was a starting offensive lineman at Brigham Young University and high school All American. In addition to his impressive football career, Coach Hanshaw has spent more than 10 years coaching a wide range of youth sports, teaching youth football clinics serving as a Troop Leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
Pat Valdez: 2010 will be Coach Valdez’s fifth season with the Packers serving as both a head coach and assistant coach during his tenure. Coach Valdez played linebacker and safety in high school. He has coached a wide range on boys’ and girls’ youth sports teams for the past ten years. In 2004 he coached the Moorpark Girls softball team to a state championship.
Junior II Division
Tom Emma: Coach Emma brings a tradition of high school football sucess to the Packers. As a safety for St. Bonaventure, under John Mack (now at Crespi), Coach Emma's senior class went on to capture a CIF-SS Championship. And later, as the freshman team defensive back coach for his alma mater, he helped prepare players who went on to win additional CIF-SS Championships.
Junior I Division
Bart Stoehr: Coach Stoehr played football at Princeton University where he lettered for three years while playing Linebacker, Defensive End and Defensive Tackle. He was voted first team All League, All County and All State at Freeport (IL) High School. Coach Stoehr has coached youth football with the Packers for seven seasons and currently serves the Packers at Vice President of Program Quality.
Junior Division
Jeff Barnhart: Coach Barnhart played football at Western State College and Alemany High School where he started as a running back, defensive back and receiver. He has coached a wide range of youth sports for seventeen years and has coached youth football for the Packers for eight seasons. Coach Barnhart is a certified trainer and currently serves as team trainer for the Moorpark High School Varsity Football Team.
Rene Burlet: Coach Burlet has coached youth football for over ten years. He has served the Packers as both a head coach and assistant coach for the past five years. Coach Burlet played football at Santa Monica (CA) High School where he started as a Linebacker.
Bantam Division
John Reilly: Coach Reilly played for the Ventura County Sheriff "Stars" and Saint Genevieve High School where he started as both an offensive and defensive lineman. He has coached youth sports for over ten years and served as an assistant position coach at a number of High Schools in Ventura County. Coach Reilly has coached youth football for five years serving as both a head coach and assistant coach.
John Trachsel: Coach Trachsel has coached youth football for the Packers for six seasons. He played football at Rio Mesa (CA) High School where he played Defensive End and Tight End. Dr. Trachsel serves the Packers as co-chair of its safety committee and helps to train the Packer coaches in first aid and injury prevention.
Mighty Mite
Joe Mancuso: Coach Mancuso served as head coach for the Packers 2009 Mighty Mite Division II Champions. He has coached a wide range of youth sports for seven years; this will be his third season as a head coach with the Packers. Coach Mancuso played football at Carnegie Mellon University and North Hills (Pittsburg, PA) High School where he started as a running back. Coach Mancuso is a certified personal trainer and operates Joe’s Gym in Brentwood.
