In addition to these items players often purchase custom chin straps (Click Here for example), gloves and specialized protective pads. These items are available online or at Dick’s Sporting Goods. If you have questions please contact your coach and get his advice.
It's here! Football is starting next week. Time to drop the corn dog, pick up the cleats, and start training yourself to become a lean, green football machine!
The first week of Packer Training Camp will be held at 6-8 PM from Monday July 26 to Friday July 30, 2010. Training Camp will be held at the Packer's football field in Arroyo Vista Park and is for all levels.
These practices are mandatory and are an important part or your pre-season preparation. The best way to prevent injuries and have a great season is to get in good shape before you put on your pads.
Players need to have paid their registration fees and must provide a signed medical release form to participate in training camp or practice with their teams. We will be checking in all players at the camp so plan to come a little early on Monday to avoid long lines. Check in will start at 5:30 PM.
The attire for training camp is shorts, a white tee shirt and football cleats. Like last year we will be handing out special training camp tees to all the players.
Please make sure to bring plenty of water to the camp. You will be working hard so it is important to stay hydrated.
This year we will be hosting Bobby Hosea’s Train ‘em Up Academy tackling clinic as part of our training camp on August 5 & 6.Coach Hosea offers a unique one-day clinic that focuses on safe techniques that reduce the potential for head and neck injuries. This clinic will be optional but we think it will be more than worth the $45 participation fee- to learn more clickhere.
